Nissan Juke

The Nissan Juke is Nissan’s Mini SUV, it is built at the NMUK plant in Washington UK. The Nissan Juke’s platform is taken from the Renault Clio, Nissan Cube and the outgoing Nissan Micra. For the Juke, the platform has been lengthened, widened and significantly strengthened and lightened to enhance safety, refinement, and fuel efficiency.

The body styling is dominated by the prominent wheel arches and by the body's high waistline, which combine together to give an impression of strength. Taking inspiration from the style and design first seen on the Mixim, Nissan's high performance electric coupé concept shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Show, the glasshouse resembles a crash helmet visor.

The motoring press appear to have taken well to the unusual and quirky look of the Nissan Juke. While most liked the Juke's unusual styling, several noted that it represented a brave design choice by Nissan that could divide the opinions of car buyers.

The Juke starts at £12,795 for the Visia specification, the range topping Tekna would set you back £15,795. The Tekna is packed full gadgets and impressive modern technology.

Nissan use the tag line “All the best compacted in a compact crossover”, and from initially reactions and reviews it appears the early owners and motoring journalist agree.
