As Jeremy Clarkson once suggested, all drivers should at least once in their lifetimes own and drive an Alfa Romeo of some sort.
They are beautifully crafted cars, which look absolutely stunning, their interiors all look hand crafted and detailed by someone who has passion in their craftsmanship. Their engines are always produced to output the maximum power, probably the tipping point - as Alfa Romeo engines are notoriously unreliable.
Alfa Romeo was originally founded in 1910 in Italy; in 1986 it became part of the Fiat group – another Italian company. There is a lot of history behind the brand; some of today’s big names such as Enzo Ferrari are part of Alfa Romeo’s history.
Enzo Ferrari use to race for the Alfa Romeo team, he turned out to be a better team manager so when the racing team was privatised Enzo took over and Scuderia Ferrari was created.
Alfa Romeo continues to produce beautiful cars, their latest the Giulettietta has to be one of the most stunning looking cars on the market. Red Alfa Romeo’s with black leather interior always appear to look the best.
Due to their unreliability Alfa’s are cheap, used Alfa Romeo in King’s Lynn start from under £5,000 for the 159. If you can put up with a few reliability issues then you really do get a lot of car for your money.
