Audi A5 Sportback

Audi have been producing the A5 since 2007, initially released as a coupe and a convertible, in 2010 Audi released the Audi A5 Sportback in Newton Abbot . The Sportback has 5 doors and a long tapering roofline giving it a coupe like appearance, similar to what Mercedes did with the CLS.

Audi have described the Sportback as "emotional and elegant as a coupe, as comfortable as a saloon, and as practical as an Avant".

The A5 Sportback is available with 3 diesel and 2 petrol engine variants; there is 2.0 litre TDI, a 2.7 litre TDI and a 3.0 litre TDI. The 2.0 and 2.7 litre diesels come with a manual 6 speed gearbox, the 3.0 litre comes with a 7 speed S tronic box.

In the petrol line up there is a 2.0 litre FSI with 180bhp and a 3.2 Litre FSI, the 2.0 litre is available with a 6 speed manual or 7 speed S Tronic gearbox, the 3.2 litre comes with Audi’s Quattro 4 wheel drive system and an S Tronic gearbox.

Like most Audis the A5 Sportback is available with two suspension setups, the standard and the S-Line, there is also an option of front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. The S-Line has a slightly firmer suspension but is great fun to throw around corners. The 4 wheel drive system provides insane amounts of grip. S-Line Suspension, 4 wheel drive and the 3.2 FSI that would do me nicely!
