Time to drop the top

We’re in the middle of February now the nights are getting shorter and the days are getting longer, we’re not scraping frost off every morning and most of us are getting home before the street lamps come on. While many will be thinking of booking their summer holidays I’m thinking about an Audi convertible for sale I saw.

With the limited number of summer days we get I’m determined to make the most of the sun this summer and that includes buying myself a nice convertible, I’ve got my eyes on a used Audi A4 convertible. Due to the number of miles I do a year it will have to be the 2.0 litre diesel model, and I prefer the sporty look of the S Line so it will have to be a 2.0 litre S Line diesel. I’m not picky but it has to be in black with full leather interior.

The Audi A4 cabriolet came out in 2002 and I’ve had my eye on it ever since but my budget would never stretch far enough. Now that it is getting a little older its come well into my budget range, the release of the A5 cabriolet has helped lower A4 Cabriolet asking prices. I can now buy a 2002 or 2003 S Line diesel for under £8,000 which makes it affordable for me.

I realise that just like me there will be lots of other people looking for a cabriolet at this time of the year, so I need to beat the rush and get myself in one as soon as possible. I’ve estimated running costs to be decent, on a combined cycle the A4 Diesel can achieve around 50mpg which is very respectable. The next few weekends I will be spending my time hunting down my ideal cabriolet!
